Trained as a clinical psychologist and mediator, Dr. Whitworth offers expertise in family dynamics and conflict management within family enterprise systems. She helps resolve complex problems and optimize healthy relationships in families with shared economic interests.
She loves working with family firms undergoing significant transitions by facilitating conversations, fostering insight, and strengthening family relationships. Dr. Whitworth leverages generational and personality differences, and diverse goals and values to promote both business and family growth.
Dr. Whitworth received her psychology doctorate in 2009 from Georgia School of Professional Psychology and is a graduate of Wheaton College. She is a licensed psychologist and is registered with the Office of Dispute Resolution in Georgia. Before joining Continuity Family Business Consulting, she worked with the Family Business Clinic at Kennesaw State University’s Cox Family Enterprise Center.
A Georgia native, she currently resides outside of Atlanta with her husband and two children. She serves as co-pastor of her local Methodist church, and enjoys reading, yoga, weightlifting, and gardening.
