Scott’s passion is helping and working with family businesses; guiding these organizations through the many stages of growth and transition. Scott’s expertise as a family business consultant is grounded with three decades of having worked within his own family’s business, steering the organization for 22 years as the family’s CEO and successfully growing this company to become one of the largest industrial and medical gas distribution companies in the industry. While transitioning the business from a “founder owned and run” family business to a “multi sibling owned and run” business, he experienced the many difficult but common family business obstacles along the way. This journey became the cornerstone of Scott’s expertise for helping other families.
After a successful divestiture of the family enterprise in 2008, Scott formed his own family business consulting practice and has offered his expertise to a variety of families for the last 10 years.
Scott is excited to be a team member of Continuity Family Business Consulting. His mix of deep strategic business experience coupled with navigating family business dynamics leaves Scott in a unique position to function both as a high-end business advisor as well as a family business consultant, offering valuable tools in bridging family with business.
