Betsy Lehman is an attorney, certified mediator, and family enterprise owner with over three decades of experience guiding mission-driven organizations through growth, transition, and conflict. She uses a systems-based, strategic approach to strengthen governance, support succession planning, and help families align values and resolve complex interpersonal dynamics in ways that honor both relationships and business goals.
A Chicago-area family office owner rooted in a multigenerational manufacturing legacy, Betsy brings firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges of family-owned enterprises. She is a mediator, trainer, and board member at the Center for Conflict Resolution and has led on numerous boards, including seven years as chair of the James B. Moran Center for Youth Advocacy, where she was recognized as a Crain’s Chicago Notable Nonprofit Board Leader. She currently serves on the board of PRX, a leading nonprofit media organization.
Betsy holds a JD from Northwestern University, an MA in Social Work from the University of Chicago, and a BA in History from Colgate University. A mother of three adult children, Betsy lives outside Chicago and enjoys travel, reading, walking her rescue dog Abby, and cooking for family and friends.
