Wealth and Legal Advisor Programs

Programs that Increase Your Value with Families and Strengthen Client Relationships

Wealth advisors, trust and estate attorneys, and other advisors to high net worth families are often thrust into challenging situations when their client families lack direction ─ or openly disagree ─ about how to deploy and pass on their wealth.

Decision making can stall, relationships can fray, and these differences can even jeopardize advisor-client relationships. In addition to these challenges, wealth advisors are increasingly asked to provide family governance advice and development services – areas in which they may lack experience.

For these reasons, Continuity Family Business Consulting provides short training programs to equip advisors with new knowledge and skills to better guide client families. Advisors armed with our frameworks have an enormous advantage in their ability to engage their client families in impactful conversations, which create value for their clients and strengthen their relationships with all family members.

  • How can client families make better financial decisions together?
  • What are family members’ values concerning wealth and are they aligned?
  • How should clients educate their children about what it means to be wealthy and the related opportunities/challenges?
  • How should clients transfer wealth to their children and when?
  • How should clients ensure that their wealth helps (not hurts) their children?
  • How can clients help their children find their purpose given so many choices?
  • What skills are required as children and adults come into wealth?

There are no simple answers to these questions, but there is a way to approach them productively.
